During this video blog series, we’ll introduce some coaching strategies that can be used if you’re new to the CLASS, are just curious, or if you’re a veteran CLASS user and just want a refresher. Enjoy!

In the first post of this series, we talked about the importance of building relationships with your teachers and how you can use parallel process to include the interactions that are important in the CLASS tool in your coaching sessions.

In this video, we talk about what makes professional development effective. We’ve learned that professional development should be:

  • Consistent
  • Relevant and specific to the teacher
  • Allow for follow-up and opportunities for teachers to practice what they've learned

As you watch the video, think about what you’ve seen work in your own coaching sessions – and let us know in the comments section!
