The Tools You Need to Prepare for the CDA
In the CDA with CLASS programs, you’ll find authentic classroom videos to demonstrate best practices that you can immediately apply in your own classroom. We include the Competency Standards book (a $25 value), needed to prepare and apply for your CDA. Additionally, you’ll receive access to our CLASS Learning Community where you can ask questions and benefit from peer-to-peer discussions. And by the end of your training, you will also be equipped with a completed CDA Professional Portfolio, putting you one step closer to completing the CDA application.
The CDA with CLASS is offered in two formats – a convenient on-demand, self-guided course or a fully-facilitated course with experienced educators who offer specific feedback and strategies.
The On-Demand CDA with CLASS is an affordable, convenient online courses that supports educators seeking to fulfill the training requirements of the CDA. Our self-guided platform is simple and easy to navigate. Elements of CLASS are infused in the course to help you focus on the importance of interactions. Work through your CDA training on your own time and from any device.

This online group program is facilitated by a friendly and helpful team of educators to guide you through the CDA process. Throughout the program, they will be available to answer questions, provide specific feedback and grade your assignments. They will also help you build your portfolio and coursework while growing your knowledge of CLASS. You will advance through the program with a community of other learners. Not only will you be prepared to earn the credential, you will learn skills for improving interactions with the children in your care.
There are 3 courses in the program, 8 weeks per course, for a total of 24 weeks.

Understanding Child Development
Understanding child development, including milestones for cognitive, physical, and social-emotional growth; first and second language acquisition, developmental delay, and introduction to the CLASS tool focused on high-quality teacher-student interactions.
Health, Safety and Environment
Health, safety, and nutrition in early childhood settings, emergency preparedness, family engagement, community resources, and developmentally appropriate learning environments.
Application to Teaching and Learning
Overview of CLASS domains and strategies, planning effective lessons, managing time and space in the classroom, use of data to improve instruction, and meeting individual needs in diverse student populations.
