Student Cues

Welcome to Teachstone!

The short video clips on this website are part of the teacher activity outlined in the resource, “Interactions Matter: Identifying and Responding to Student Needs.”

Directions

Follow the directions outlined in the activity. Watch the clips two times and takes notes on the activity sheet.

  1. First, watch the students and notice individual or group cues that they need some type of support. Pay attention to subtle cues including verbal/non-verbal signs or those covering a wide range of needs (academic, emotional, social). Take notes as you watch the clip.
  2. Next, watch the clip again, this time focusing on the teacher’s responses to those cues, and how needs are resolved.
