Encourage Infants' and Toddlers' Exploration
Infants and toddlers experience rapid brain development that sets the foundation for later academic and life-long success. Thinking & Thriving: Interactions for Early Learning empowers teachers and caregivers to use small, yet meaningful interactions to support the critical development of infants and toddlers.
This half-day, virtually facilitated training gives teachers and caregivers the opportunity to:
- Strengthen understanding of the cognitive and language development that occurs from birth through age 3
- Explore ways to use interactions to help children develop their cognitive and language skills
- Learn how to individualize supports for every child, including those with disabilities and dual language learners
Make the Most out of Daily Routines
Teachers and caregivers of infants and toddlers spend the day engaging in daily routines. Learning for these young children isn’t a separate time of day, but instead should be embedded within the numerous daily routines.
Participants in Thinking & Thriving: Interactions for Early Learning will:
- Recognize and plan for interactions within the daily routines to support children’s development and learning
- Understand how to increase the CLASS® defined domains of Responsive Caregiving and Engaged Support for learning
- Increase intentionality of interactions to promote cognitive and language learning during daily routines
