Receive Face-to-Face Coaching to Develop Proficiency in CLASS

This structured group coaching model immerses teachers in CLASS professional development that’s been proven to change teaching behaviors. An in-house CLASS coach delivers this face-to-face program to help teachers develop awareness and enact change in the classroom.

This training will be available in April. The dates will be posted as soon as they are confirmed.

Who Should Participate

Infant/Toddler or Pre-K teachers with some to mid-level understanding of CLASS

Training Summary

Teachers will:

  • Learn alongside their peers in small group-coaching sessions

  • Watch and reflect on real classroom videos of other teachers

  • Learn to identify and describe effective interactions in the classroom

  • Build skills, insights, and strategies to apply CLASS concepts to teaching

Participants receive:

  • Face-to-face coaching alongside peers
  • Online resources

Time Commitment

  • Twelve two-hour sessions every few weeks at a central Chicago location (likely the King Center)
  • Fifteen minutes every other week to utilize online resources provided by coach

Support Provided from Leadership

  • Release time for twelve two-hour sessions over approximately nine months
  • Time and computer access to utilize online coaching resources – 15 minutes every other week

CEUs And Gateway Hours Earned

Training earns 2.4 CEUs and 24 Gateway hours
