Building Readiness with CLASS Primer and Online CoachingWho Should Participate
Infant/Toddler or Pre-K teachers who are new to CLASS and need to learn the basics of what it is and why it is important
Training Summary
Teachers who attend this training will:
- Obtain a basic level of understanding about CLASS, discover why it is important, and how it can benefit them in classroom practice
- Engage with teacher professional development
- Acquire the tools they need to begin improving their interactions with students
Participants receive:
- A CLASS Primer Participant Guide
- CLASS Strategy Cards and the CLASS Dictionary
- Subscription to the CLASS Learning Community
Time Commitment
- One-day CLASS Primer for Teachers training on March 8, March 11, or March 21
- Online coaching with a CLASS coach via myTeachstone for approximately 20 minutes every other week for ten months
Support Provided from Leadership
- Release time to complete the one-day training
- Time and computer access for coaching sessions
