Every program is on a different part of its quality improvement journey, and we recognize that transitions take time. We’re here to support your program as you make the move to CLASS 2nd Edition.
Because both tools focus on measuring and improving meaningful interactions in the classroom, you can continue using either edition with CLASS coaching programs and other improvement efforts. When data reliability is of the utmost importance, we recommend using one version of CLASS – rather than both – to ensure comparable data, and to ease the implementation burden.
We anticipate that programs may need up through the school year 2024-2025 to prepare, so we’re continuing to support CLASS (2008) with trainings and materials as you begin to make the switch. During your transition period, we recommend:
