Recertification Extension Program

What is the Recertification Amnesty Program?

We understand that it can be especially challenging for observers, trainers, and coaches to consistently maintain certification during the COVID-19 pandemic. Consequently, we have developed a process to make it easier to rejoin these certification programs. Rather than having to retake any prior Teachstone trainings, Certified CLASS Observers, Affiliate CLASS Trainers, and CLASS Group Coaching/MMCI coaches with lapsed certifications will be able to easily rejoin these certification programs.

Who is Eligible?

All observers, affiliate trainers, and CGC/MMCI coaches whose certifications expired or will expire between January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2022 are eligible for the recertification extension program. Observers who paid for recertification prior to January 1, 2020 but have not yet activated it will receive a two week free extension to the date they wish to begin testing.

How Does the Process Work?

If you are an observer or affiliate trainer, depending on how long your certification has lapsed, we may recommend that you complete some complimentary online coursework prior to recertification testing to help you refocus your CLASS lens. The cost of recertification remains the same, $125 for Certified CLASS Observers and $275 for Affiliate CLASS Trainers and CGC/MMCI Coaches.
