CLASS Virtual Trainings are designed to be very interactive. You will need to be able to chat, comment, join breakout groups, and view video footage. Using a laptop or desktop computer throughout this training will allow you to fully engage in the training to support your learning and understanding of the CLASS.
Some of Teachstone and CLASS trainings use Zoom as the virtual collaboration tool. Zoom is user friendly with capability to support our video conferencing needs. To prevent any security issues, please use the latest version of the desktop client or view the event on your browser. We use randomly generated meeting IDs, passwords, and a “waiting room” to keep the event secure.
The web browser client will download automatically when you start or join your first Zoom meeting and is also available for manual download click here.
Please log into Zoom to make sure you have the most updated version. To do this, please open the zoom app on your computer, click on ‘Preferences’ then ‘check for updates.’
After installing Zoom, locate the Zoom icon in your taskbar or doc.
As part of the training, you may need to navigate between the Zoom meeting and myTeachstone. To do so, you can select the browser or zoom icon from your dock or taskbar.
If you need any additional help setting up Zoom, the below videos and tutorials may help.
https://zoom.us/resourcesClick the Teams training link from the training reminder email that you either have or will receive starting 5 days prior to your scheduled training. You can also join from the training dashboard in the myTeachstone platform
After clicking on the link to join the Teams meeting follow the prompts to download and install the Teams app. For a better training experience we recommend downloading and installing the Teams app instead of joining the training from the browser.
Before entering the meeting, you will be prompted to enter your name and select “Join now”. You can also choose to enter the meeting with your camera and microphone on or off.
If you have any questions or encounter any problems with your account or logging into your training, please reach out to [email protected]. There will be live support to assist with troubleshooting during your training.
